PLGRMS CRAWLING BACK

Keeping up their slow-and-steady release schedule, Sydney duo PLGRMS unveil their fifth track ‘Crawling Back’ three months after their vivid and tightly-timed single ‘Dream You Up’. The good news is - as always seems to be the case with Jacob Pearson and Jonathan Bowden - the wait was totally worth it. ‘Crawling Back’ is an epic song built on eclectic rhythms including hand-drums, acoustic drums, synthetic beats and hearty bass. Into the layers of percussion, the pair have woven a subtle groove through which catchy lyrics, sung in either dreamy falsetto or frontman focus, can glide. Speaking about their latest output, the band say that "'Crawling Back' was one of the first songs we conceived as PLGRMS. Lyrically, the song is based around seeing friends go through situations where their relationship had gone bad — and they just stuck around because it was all they knew. So I guess the inspiration was more observational than a personal experience.” - HT
